Workshops and Teaching

Beth has been teaching privately for over a decade, specialising in Folk Fiddle, Viola, Violin, Piano, Playing by Ear, Aural Skills and ABRSM Music Theory Exam Preparation. She is a driven, adaptable and intuitive teacher and specialises in large group instrumental teaching and group coaching for Camden Music Service.

Beginner Fiddle  Class at Cecil Sharp House 

 

Beth is an experienced workshop leader, instrumental teacher and folk educator working in London and the South East. Currently working as a Wider Ops and Peripatetic Violin, Viola, Strings and Piano teacher for Camden Music Service Beth is also running adult fiddle workshops for the English Folk Dance and Song Society and is a regular member of their Youth and Child Education teams.  Beth also runs her own freelance workshop company One of the FEW. Her extensive experience includes leading and assisting with workshops for; The Full English Learning Program with John Kirkpatrick and Ray and Bev Langton,  Shooting Roots (Youth Folk Arts Organistation), Sidmouth Childrens Folk Festival, Steel Pan Company Day O Drums and the CBSO Sparks program.

 

Beth founded One of the FEW Folk Education Workshops as part of her final year project at Birmingham Conservatoire. One of the FEW is a curriculum based workshop company specialising in traditional British music and dance specialising in Primary Education Workshops.
